Did You Get Our Last Email?

IF YOU WANT OUR WEBSITE EMAIL UPDATES WE WANT TO INSURE THAT YOU RECEIVE THEM

If you have given us your email address and have reason to believe you did not get an email from the website that you should have, first visit the Class Reunion Website for the latest reunion event details, especially in the months of April and May. This is typically when emails are being sent regarding upcoming reunion events. If you become aware that you missed receiving an email from the site, first check your email spam folder. If you find it there you will probably need to “whitelist” our sending email address of noreply@classcreator.net. Once you have determined that you did not receive it, the problem is most likely that the email "bounced".

 

DUE TO  WEB MAIL SPAM POLICIES OF MOST ALL WEB MAIL PROVIDERS, ONCE WE SEND YOU AN EMAIL AND IT IS RETURNED TO US AS UNDELIVERABLE (BOUNCED) WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO SEND YOU ANOTHER "DIRECT FROM THE SITE" EMAIL TO THAT SAME EMAIL ADDRESS. HAVING A VALID WORKING EMAIL ADDRESS FOR YOU IS ESSENTIAL.

THE REASONS FOR MAKING A "BIG DEAL" OUT OF THIS ISSUE ARE SIMPLE:

1.  IT ALLOWS US TO SEND UPDATES TO EVERYONE AS A GROUP AT ONE TIME.

2.  EMAIL ADDRESSES ARE EASIER TO UPDATE USING THE WEBSITE THAN A TRADITIONAL ADDRESS BOOK ON A WEB MAIL PROVIDER.

3.  BOUNCED EMAILS ARE AUTOMATICALLY RECORDED ON THE SITE AND FULL ACCESS WEBSITE MEMBERS ARE PROMPTED WHEN THEY VISIT AND LOG IN.

 

IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHETHER WE ARE ABLE TO SEND YOU EMAIL UPDATES, CLICK ON THE Missing Classmates/No Email LINK ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE LEFT SIDE OF THIS PAGE AND LOOK FOR YOUR NAME ON THE LIST. IF YOUR NAME APPEARS THEN ANY EMAIL WE TRY TO SEND YOU HAS BOUNCED.

 

IF YOU ARE NOT RECEIVING  EMAIL, THEN WE ARE UNABLE TO CONTACT YOU.

EITHER:

WE DO NOT HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS FOR YOU

OR

WE HAVE AN INVAILD EMAIL ADDRESS FOR YOU

OR

EMAIL FROM US IS BEING BLOCKED BY THE E-MAIL PREFERENCES YOU HAVE SET WITH YOUR EMAIL PROVIDER

OR 

WE HAVE SENT YOU AN EMAIL THAT BOUNCED BACK TO US. ONCE THIS HAPPENS, WE CAN NOT SEND ANY MORE EMAIL TO THAT EMAIL ADDRESS

Why did the email we sent you bounce? Emails can bounce for a variety of reasons. The two most common are:

  1. You changed your email address and the former email address is no longer valid.
  2. The email server which “hosts” your email address was temporarily down or inaccessible.

We (the Class Reunion Website) can’t fix a bounceback problem on our own. You must be a part of the solution. Here is the procedure for correcting bouncebacks:

  1. If you are a website member without a password, you must send us a new email address. We will enter it into your profile on the website. Only then, will we be able to resume sending you email from the site.
  2. If you are a website member with a password you must log into the web site and a copy of the bounce notice will be displayed.
  3. You have the opportunity to enter an updated email address. If your current email address is valid you may opt to keep current email address.
  4. You  must click the link provided to send a verification email (this is to be sure email is actually getting through now).
  5. Once you receive the verification email you must click the link inside. The bounce problem is now solved and you can receive emails from the site again.

Important: You must be involved in the solution. Until you click the link in the verification email, we will not be able to send you any further emails from the class website.

 

WHEN YOU REGISTER AS A "FULL ACCESS" WEBSITE MEMBER, YOU WILL HAVE A LOG IN PASSWORD. WHEN YOU LOG INTO THE WEBSITE, A MESSAGE WILL APPEAR ON YOUR "MEMBER PROFILE" PAGE INFORMING YOU WHEN AN EMAIL THAT WE SENT TO YOU HAS BOUNCED. YOU MUST THEN FOLLOW THE PROMPTS LISTED IN ORDER TO CLEAR THE BOUNCE AND ALLOWI EMAIL SENT BY US TO BE RECIEVED BY YOU.

CLICK ON MEMBER PROFILES AT THE TOP OF THIS PAGE, FIND YOUR NAME AND CLICK ON IT, THEN FOLLOW THE LINKS AND PROMPTS TO SELF REGISTER AS A WEBSITE MEMBER WHICH WILL GIVE YOU THE UPGRADED MEMBERSHIP

 CONTACT US AT avondale76reunion@yahoo.com AND REQUEST THE UPGRADE. YOU WILL RECIEVE AN E-MAIL (AT THE EMAIL ADDRESS WHICH WE HAVE ON FILE) WITH A TEMPORARY PASSWORD WHICH WILL ALLOW ACCESS TO YOUR PROFILE. YOU CAN THEN CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD TO ONE OF YOUR OWN CHOOSING.

PLEASE REMEMBER, IF AN EMAIL BOUNCEBACK HAS OCCURED, THE ISSUE MUST BE RESOLVED; EITHER BY CONTACTING YOUR EMAIL PROVIDER  OR BY GIVING US A NEW EMAIL ADDRESS (GMAIL IS A GOOD CHOICE FOR AN EMAIL PROVIDER)  IN ORDER FOR YOU TO RESUME RECEIVING "DIRECT FROM THE SITE" EMAIL.
