I grew up with Curtis and he was one of my best friends. We knew each other since we were 5 years old and going to kindergarten at Stone Elementary. He died from an accidential explosion I believe in the fall of 1973. It was a hard thing being 15 and having one of your friends get killed. Our group in the neighborhood which included Gordy Baum and Don Joyner never got over it.
